TinyURL for Google Searches
I use TinyURL all time time -- it's a great tool for shortening URLs so that they don't take up so much room in an email, newsletter, Twitter post, etc. The company Look.fo wants to do the same thing with Google searches -- it creates an instant link to any Google search. For example, if I want to send someone a list of the results I got when I searched for "subprime lending," I just run my query at Look.fo, and I get this link:
http://look.fo/"subprime-lending"
In contrast, here's what it looks like if I just copy and paste the actual results from Google:
http://www.google.com/search?q=subprime+lending&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B3GGGL_enUS259US259
Look.fo isn't necessarily a life-saving tool, but it's still a pretty cool way of getting information to people.
