This story from the New York Times (free registration required) shows that many people don’t want their dirty laundry aired on the Internet.

Funny, though, that these records are public to begin with, and anyone with the time and energy can go down to the courthouse and read and even copy any document they want. I suppose this is a case of the Internet making information TOO available — it’s a lot easier to sit at my desk and browse through documents than to drive all the way downtown and go through the files one by one.
