The Blaster Worm has begun to peter out, but variants are popping up all over the place. There’s a new, good worm that is designed to “infect” a computer and repair any damage done by the Blaster worm. Trouble is, it’s still a worm — it sticks around in your computer, draining your processing power, while finding other computers to infect.

There’s also an e-mail circulating the Internet claiming to deliver a patch that will fix the Blaster problem. Don’t be fooled — it’s a Trojan that infects your computer. Remember, Microsoft never sends out patches by e-mail.
