Scott Henson is a former journalist turned opposition researcher/political consultant, public policy researcher, and blogger.  During that time, he became involved in criminal-justice reform work with groups like the Innocence Project of Texas.  He believes the problems facing the criminal justice system are enormous, and “we need unfettered, creative thinking to identify solutions that can work for everybody to keep us safe and free.”  Toward that end, he’s publishing Grits for Breakfast, which features posts on Texas criminal cases of note as well as topics like sex offender registries, prosecutor misconduct, recidivism, and much more.  Great blog!
